SMUTTYNOSE BREWING COMPANY - Baltic Porter 2015. I labeled this a "2015" version as I notice they don't brew this every year and they change it up a little every time they brew it. The 2015 version has a 9.0% ABV, which changes each time they offer it. Great example of the style and extremely drinkable for the ABV.

CONEY ISLAND BREWING COMPANY - Hard Root Beer Here is another root beer flavored "beer". Again, smells and tastes exactly like root beer, however this one has a faint notice of alcohol in it and is not quite as sweet as the other one I just tried. Fun to drink, nice novelty, but just really hard to consider it a beer for me. For what it is, it's just fine though.

SMALL TOWN BREWERY - Not Your Father's Root Beer I was really looking forward to giving this one a try, there has been a lot of hype over it. Holy root beer, it smells and tastes exactly like a root beer, be it Barqs or A&W or whatever. I think side by side it would be be very hard for alot of people to notice the difference. There was no hint of the 5.9% ABV for me. It is amost too sweet though for me. It's unique and interesting and very enjoyable to drink, however I just don't really think of it as a beer. I understand there is another version with an ABV over 10%, I would love to find that one and give it a try.

AUGUST SCHELL BREWING COMPANY - Noble Star Collection - Starkeller Peach This is a berlin style wheat ale aged on peaches and is the most recent beer in this collectio. It was also the hardest for me to find. Most of the liquor stores I frequent sold out of it right away when it was released in April 2015 and then a couple weeks ago I stopped at a small town liquor store and they had a full case of it on the shelf. Lots of peaches and then there are even more peaches. Not my favorite fruit, but this is another solid effort, glad i found a bottle eventually. This is a really nice series and I think without seeing the bottle, many would be surprised it's from August Schell. Can't wait for the next one.

AUGUST SCHELL BREWING COMPANY - Noble Star Collection Cypress Blanc This is a Dry-Hopped Berliner Style American lager; basically an American Lager brewed in BerlinerWeiss fashion. Nice funky tart lemon aroma. Taste has a nice sour punch followed by fruit and yeast and ends with a sour tang. This is the most tart of this series so far for me. Very good, nicely made, we'll worth picking up.

AUGUST SCHELL BREWING COMPANY - Noble Star Collection - Dawn Of Aurora This is a stark starkbier Berlin Style Wheat ale. Another nice BerlinerWeiss from August Schell. Nice lemony citrus aroma and flavor with a nice tartness. Really like this collection, so far they have all been nicely done. The 7.5% ABV is nicely hidden considering that is is above average for the style.

AUGUST SCHELL BREWING COMPANY - Noble Star Collection - Black Forest Cherry This is a Berlin Style Wheat beer aged on cherries and is the fourth beer in this collection. Another great beer in this series. Aroma is loaded with cherries. Deep cherry flavor as well and a little bit of wheat with a perfect amount of tartness. Really solid take on the style. Many think these are on the spendy side, but when they are as good as this, I have no problem with the price.

AUGUST SCHELL BREWING COMPANY - Noble Star Collection - North Country Brunette This is a Berlin Style Marzen Wheat ale and the third release in this series. Tart with a little oak aroma and some fruitness. Tastes the same, but the oak was barely noticeable here. Solid take on the style. Just enough sweetness to offset the sour. Very nice, would drink anytime if I could find it again.

ODELL BREWING COMPANY - 180 Schilling Ale Really nice 25th anniversary beer from Odell. Their flagship beer is 90 Schilling and this is a double version of that and it is also oak aged. Big malt presence, mostly caramel and toffee. The oak flavor is very subtle, but more noticeable as it warms. Really enjoyable, glad i have one more bottle aging.

NEW BELGIUM BREWING - Lips Of Faith Eric's Ale 2015 Bottle states "This is a sour beer for those who don't like Sour beers. And a fruit beer for those that don't like fruit beers." Excellent. Aroma is sweet, juicy, and fruity; taste is both sweet and tart. Just a real solid beer. Will be grabbing a couple more to cellar.

WHITE BIRCH BREWING - Raspberry Berliner Weiss Another nice BerlinerWeiss from White Birch, although I do prefer the blueberry version a little more, which is a little surprising as I am more of a raspberry fan. Smell and taste is sweet and tart raspberries. Maybe just a little too tart for me, but still a solid easy to drink refreshing beer.

BASE CAMP BREWING COMPANY - Pilgrimage Saison Decent take on a saison, but nothing really stands out to differentiate it from any others. Acceptable but not outstanding.
#1043
CLOWN SHOES BREWING - Mango America Kolsch Amazing aroma. Lots of mangos and other sweet fruity and citrus aromas. Taste is the same with a slight bitterness in the finish. Interesting take on the style. This is a great summertime beer. Delicious, light and refreshing. Probably the best I have tried from Clown Shoes, I could drink this any time.

SIERRA NEVADA BREWING CO. - Harvest Newly Developed Hop IPA 2015 I always enjoy the "harvest" series from Sierra Nevada. This is the third of five for 2015. Very complex, lots going on in the flavor. Great offering as usual.

NEW BELGIUM BREWING - Lips Of Faith Grand Cru Abbey Ale Stumbled upon this old bottle at the liquor store the other day. They said it was from 2011. Great example of a Belgian strong dark ale. Seemed to age just fine. Smell is malt heavy, mostly caramel, but some dark fruits as well. Nice flavor. Starts with lots of caramel malts with some subtle Dark fruits in the finish. Very smooth. Nice.

BENT BREWSTILLERY - Lakeside Blonde Label describes it as a fruited amber blonde ale brewed with passion fruit, honey, and guava. Nice summer beer. It has a nice fruitness with just a hint of tartiness, very refreshing on this warm day.
