FULTON BEER - Barrel Aged Patience 2017             Bottle #534 of 1600. Barleywine aged in Cognac barrels. Wow, might be my favorite from Fulton so far. Not for the faint of heart at 13.7% ABV, but a nice sipper on this cool Minnesota night.

STONE BREWING CO. - Double Bastard Bigger Longer Uncut 2016         "A peaty as hell Double Bastard aged in scotch whiskey barrels."  I don't even know where to begin on this one. It will either be a love it or hate it beer for most people. Heavy smoke and peat influence. 13% ABV which is heavy and difficult to drink. A bomber is too much, this should come in a 6 oz. bottle, that's more than plenty for one person. Crazy, complex and boundary pushing, pretty much sums up Stone. I enjoyed giving it a try, but would not be something I would seek out again.
