ROGUES ALES - VOODOO DOUGHNUT CHOCOLATE, BANANA & PEANUT BUTTER ALE  I was pretty excited to give this one a try, but not real sure what to think about it now. Smells just like the name, but the banana was barely noticeable. Also smells sweet, but that sweetness doesnt come through in the taste as much as i was expecting. Taste is weak and seems artificial. Some roasted malts and mostly chocolate. Very dissapointing, it just didnt deliver on the flavors promised in the name. Interesting, but wouldnt try again unless i heard they refined the recipe.

PRINCE & THE REVOLUTION - PURPLE RAIN  Saw part of the movie yesterday and had to listen to this one today. The album that really made Prince huge. Classic.

FLYING DOG BREWERY - DOGGIE STYLE CLASSIC PALE ALE  The aroma has a little bit of citrus and some malt sweetness. The taste is pretty malt forward with a little fruity hops following, not bad. A decent but pretty unremarkable pale ale though overall

STORM LARGE - LADYLIKE SIDE ONE  I have always thought Storm has had a great voice and this album, her first after being on the TV show Rockstar Supernova (or whatever it was that year), proves it again. Great range on rockers to ballads and her personality owns the stage. Very underrated and underappreciated artist, i think all her records are well worth finding.

BROOKLYN BREWERY - MONSTER ALE 2012   At 10.1 ABV, it is a bit of a monster. Smell is hops, alcohol, a hint of fruitiness but the alcohol dominates, which is not surprising with the ABV. Taste is much the same with the booze overwhelming everything else. Too much of a booze bite for my taste, could use some of the other flavors to stand out more. Not my favorite from Brooklyn, and i understand 2012 was the last year for this one as they retired it.

CHICKENFOOT - CHICKENFOOT
CHICKENFOOT - CHICKENFOOT III   Listened to both of Chickenfoots albums today. It is a supergroup with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, and Chad Smith. Straight up rock. They sound like they have been playing togethor for years. Fun stuff, i like these guys, saw them live a couple of years ago and it was a great show.

MAIC HAT BREWING COMPANY - PISTIL  Brewed with dandelion petals?  Smells kind of grassy, not much else. Taste is pretty weak, slightly floral with pine. This is weird little beer, not really sure what they were aiming for. Its east drinking, but essentially just boring to drink. I like the effort, but needs some refining for me to consider giving it another shot.

FRANK ZAPPA - JOES GARAGE ACTS I II & III  FZ is amazing, so original and creatice, just one word is needed for this album: classic.

REX BEVERAGE HOLDINGS - HORNY GOAT BELGIAN STYLE WHEAT BEER  Smells just like it should, wheat with some orange and lemon. Taste is the same, but pretty mild, not much to it. This is just pretty standard for a Belgian Wheat, a little watered down and the flavor just doesnt seem to be there for me. Better ones in this style out there, so probably wont be trying this one again anytime soon.

CYNDI THOMSON - MY WORLD  Debut and only album for Cyndi. Loved her voice. Nice album, still enjoy listening to it today. She was a co-writer on 8 of the songs, which is nice, as too many country artists dont seem to write many of their own songs. After this album, she left the music industry, rumor is she is back out there again writing and performing a little, so hopefully a new album will come out soon. Favorites: I Always Liked That Best, What I Really Meant To Say, Things I Would Do,  and I'm Gone.

STEVENS POINT BREWERY - POINT BELGIAN WHITE  Nice smell, wheat with some orange peel and a hint of spices. Tastes pretty good, wheat, coriander and the orange peel. Overall, pretty good, nothing too special, i wouldnt turn one down though.

THE DEAD MILKMEN - CHAOS RULES, LIVE AT THE TROCADERO  Nice live release from 1994.  Probably not the best recording and production, but it is probably a pretty good representation of what their live shows were like. Has most of their popular songs. They are one band in my bucket list to see live.

BOSTON BEER COMPANY - SAMUEL ADAMS HAZEL BROWN  I enjoyed this one, but there isnt anything really that stands out about it. A little nut and vanilla in the aroma.  You can really tell the hazelnut in the taste as well as some toffee and caramel. Smooth and easy to drink, but as i said nothing extraordinary, but a couple bottles in their seasonal variety pack is perfect.

KISS MY ASS: CLASSIC KISS REGROOVED  A collection from 1994 of bands covering classic Kiss songs. It got alot of coverage when it was released due to the Garth Brooks cover. Not bad, kind of hit or miss for me though.
Lenny Kravitz - Deuce
Garth Brooks - Hard Luck Woman
Anthrax - She
Gin Blossoms - Christine Sixteen
Toad The Wet Sprocket - Rock And Roll All Night
Shandi's Addiction - Calling Dr. Love
Dinasaur Jr. - Goin' Blind
Extreme - Stutter
The Lemonheads - Plaster Caster
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Detroit Rock City
Yoshiki - Black Diamond
